Having a remote workforce has been instrumental for Plex in a variety of ways. First, it’s opened up our hiring capabilities to anywhere in the world so we can find the best person for the job, not just the best person within 50 miles of the office. I moved my plex server onto a guest host running windows server 2016 and the actual performance has been great. However, I do have one lingering problem that has stumped me and I am not even sure what direction I should be going to find an answer.
